In cooperation with Philippine Junior Marketing Association (PJMA), Philippine Marketing Association (PMA) launched the “ 8th STRATMARK Student Conference “ as part of their celebration of the National Marketing Month this July, with the theme PINOY AS A GLOBAL BRAND, at the Aliw Theater, Pasay City, July 30
With more or less 3000 participants, mainly composed of business students, professors and business personalities, the event was as usual started with an invocation, followed by singing our national anthem, a dance number from PJMA officers, and opening remarks from Mr. Aniceto Fontanilla, president of PMA and Mss. Maeyeth Cayabyab Cadungog, director in charge, national marketing month year 8, two great personalities who started the event lithely and humorously.
Masters of the conference were radio DJ, and TV personalities’ Sam Y.G, Sting Rey, and Toni Toni, who made the conference not just educational and conducive to learning, but a day for fun and laughter as well, especially when they throw jokes that vigorously affect the crowd.
The event overall runs well, and the aim of the association to maximize learning, choosing a more intimate venue seems effective as well, of course with the help of guest speakers who contributed their knowledge, giving such great talks to the participants. Speakers who are well known in their certain industries, knowledgeable personalities who can inspire their listeners as they discuss specific topic, huge personalities such as; Mss. Yolly Ong , chairperson of Campaigns and Grey, who made her discussion about the last 2010 election, strategies and difficulties I campaigning, and the secret behind how our newest president PNOY captivated the hearts of many Filipinos here and abroad, Mr. Anton Diaz, professional blogger, creator of the famous Our Awesome Planet internet site, who shared the reason behind the success of his website and the process ongoing into it, and persuaded the listeners to create their own blog and make profit in such field at the same time promote our country’s natural pride . Mr. Jovel Cipriano, founder and C.E.O of Pinoydelikasi.com, with his talk about our country’s delicious pride, the money on selling it through internet, and the secret behind internet selling. Mss. Emily Abrera, chairman emeritus , McCann Erickson Group, who discussed her experience abroad and how to be a Filipino outside home, how to cope up with the situation and to stay strong. Mr. Jeffrey Remegio, of the TFC as a global brand, who shared the history of ABS-CBN being telecasted overseas, exiting innovations and high quality shows to come up, the feeling of being the reason why OFWs feel at home at foreign land. Mss. Pinky Yee, marketing director of Goldilocks bakeshop, who tackled the delicious success story of Philippines number one bakeshop, the strategies they’ve implied in the management, innovations and their journey outside our country bringing our nation’s pride.
